Girl Scouts

Today, nearly 17000 girls are active members of the Girl Scouts of Citrus (GSC). We serve six counties — Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Incorporated in 1956, GSC is one of seven councils in Florida, chartered by the national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA. With a volunteer base of nearly 7000 adults and 50 staff members, GSC bring to Central Florida the best leadership experience for girls, building their self-esteem and confidence.

In Girl Scouting, girls ages 5 to 17 discover themselves and their values, connect with others to form healthy relationships, and take action to make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong,
and responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place,
and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
